Who is Fascineum?

At Fascineum, we are fascinated by sharing the history and traditions of food professions and specialties with the general public.
We do this in a modern, educational, interesting, and enjoyable way for all ages, whether for individual visitors, families, or groups.

Our team is made up of historians, writers, digital specialists, and object collectors. This allows us to offer modern museum concepts, balancing digital tools and historical collections.

We started our activities in 2004.
Since then, we have created 11 chocolate museums, a fry museum, a wine museum, and a technical museum dedicated to the history of domestic lighting.

Choco-Story Bruxelles :

Explore the history of Belgian chocolate at Choco-Story Brussels. Located in the heart of the capital, the museum traces the history and evolution of chocolate through an entertaining and interactive visit.

Choco-Story Bruges :

In 2004, our chocolate museum in Belgium opened its doors. The private collection of about a thousand objects makes this museum unique in Belgium. It brings to life the 5,500-year history of chocolate through words, images, and flavors. The museum immerses you in the fascinating world of chocolate and takes you on a sensory journey through time. A feast for the eyes, but also for the nose and taste buds.

Choco-Story Colmar :

Opened in 2019, this digital museum focused on chocolate takes visitors on a journey through immersive rooms. Located next to the Alsace Wine Museum, you can combine your visit and enjoy both wine and chocolate.

Choco-Story Paris :

Choco-Story Paris tells the 4,000-year history of cocoa and chocolate through words, images, and flavors. The museum is divided into three distinct sections that trace the origin and evolution of chocolate through a unique collection of one thousand objects. Beyond the historical aspect, the museum also details the methods of chocolate production, the ingredients used, and how chocolate-making has evolved over the centuries.

Visitor center and production factory. Embark on a journey through chocolate and marzipan discovery at our educational and entertainment center. Become a master chocolatier during one of our workshops, taste delicious treats at the café & bistro, or take a tour of our factory shop to buy quality chocolate at affordable prices. You can also surprise your children with a sweet birthday party!

Choco-Story Prague :

Located in the heart of Prague, just a 2-minute walk from the Old Town Square, it is a must-visit destination for anyone wishing to discover this magical city. Learn more about the ancient customs of the Aztecs and Mayans, explore the evolution of chocolate production, and see how chocolate has influenced the history of the world. Also, watch the sugar candy production, accompanied by unique internal decorations.

Frietmuseum Bruges :

Absolutely amazing! Until now, there was no Frietmuseum in the world, making the Frietmuseum in Bruges the first and only museum dedicated to French fries. Fully dedicated to the history of the potato and Belgian fries, our museum is a must-visit spot for families or friends looking for a unique experience in Bruges.

Musée du vin :

The Alsace Wines Experience opened in 2022. You will learn how the vines are cultivated, how the grapes are harvested, and how the wine is made. Fully interactive and designed for families with children, where you can taste wine or juice at the end of the visit.

Choco-Story Valladolid :

Choco-Story Valladolid consists of 12 recreated rooms with light and sound effects. The visit lasts from 30 to 45 minutes and shows how the Mayans cultivated, harvested, and used cocoa for their religious and invigorating drinks.

Choco-Story Uxmal :

Choco-Story Uxmal preserves the history of cocoa, from its origins to the ancient methods of the Mayans. In addition to the museum visit, you can explore our botanical garden and complete your tour by visiting our animal shelters, where you can admire the endemic wildlife that has been rescued. Also, visit our meliponary (stingless bee hive) and let your children enjoy our playground.

Lumina Domestica :

The Lamp Museum showcases the fascinating history of indoor lighting. You will get a clear view of its evolution, from the torch and oil lamp to the incandescent and LED bulbs. You will discover the largest collection of lamps in the world, consisting of more than 6,000 ancient objects.
